LWL’s Storytelling Phonics

How does our phonics and spelling program (available in person and online) stand out?

1. Different Levels to Meet Your Needs

From learning the letters of the alphabet and their associated sounds to blending CVC words and reading basic sentences to learning tricks to aid smooth reading and writing, we have something that suits your goals.

2. Expanding Vocabulary Each Lesson

Not only do students learn how to decode words, they expand their vocabulary each lesson. Students and teachers define and form sentences with the new keywords throughout each class, bringing meaning to their new phonics skills.

3. Incorporating Phonics Centric Books

The motivation for learning phonics is to explore the magic of books on your own eventually! We remind students of this in each class by incorporating a phonics-centric book that connects with the day's lesson. Students get to apply what they’ve learned!

4. Phonics Made Fun

Learning how to be an independent reader can be a tedious task. But through dynamic classes, we make phonics fun. We switch from worksheets to whiteboards, books, and sight words to keep students engaged. In person, we end with a craft that reinforces the day's lesson.

5. Teacher Notes and Tracking Progress

After each session, teachers send notes to parents, keeping track of student progress. We also provide additional resources to keep up practice at home. Our education consultants are available 7 days a week to ensure our classes are catered to your learning goals.
