Communication from the Founder of LWL Education

(Public Announcement Regarding Pebble Kids Lawsuit)

This week, CBC published an article detailing legal actions initiated over Pebble Kids’ alleged assertions regarding private-school admissions. Over recent days, we have received inquiries from concerned parents regarding our involvement as plaintiffs in this matter. Additionally we have been approached by individuals seeking clarification on our stance.

We wish to formally declare and reassure our clientele that LWL Education has absolutely no involvement in the aforementioned lawsuit against Pebble Kids, nor are we pursuing any legal action against them. Our association with the premises at 5860 East Boulevard solely pertains to our tenancy as the new occupants, distinct from the former occupants, Pebble Kids.

Upon securing our commercial lease with the assistance from our realtor, we were apprised that Pebble Kids vacated the premises due to their inability to obtain the necessary business licence as a daycare facility. Subsequently, LWL Education successfully obtained our business licence as a tutoring centre. At no point prior to signing our lease agreement, were we made aware of any impending legal disputes..

Born and raised in Vancouver during the 1990s, I witnessed firsthand the sacrifices made by many first-generation immigrant parents. Every parent strives for the best for their child, and it is regrettable how this aspiration and love can sometimes be exploited. We urge parents to remain vigilant against fraudulent scams that promise enticing yet improbable outcomes.

It is important to underscore that LWL Education has fostered numerous positive relationships within the educational landscape of Vancouver. There exist numerous establishments like ours that are dedicated to nurturing children to become their brightest and healthiest selves.

This has indeed been an eventful week, and I wish to extend my assurance that we will continue to operate on the principles of integrity and transparency. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our clients for their unwavering support. Rest assured, we remain committed to delivering the highest quality services that prioritize holistic and joyful learning experiences.

Much gratitude,

Liann Sun
